The Matakana House

Jerry the publican has built a reputation for throwing a great party! So its no suprise that Matakana House won the Speights Best Pub Party Award in 2007 for it’s legendary ‘Shear a Sheep, Eat a Pie, Drink a Pint’ competition.


Upcoming Events at Matakana House

 

Matakana House was the local boarding house in it’s former incarnation. It was built in 1900 and ceased to run as the boarding house in 1957. It was restored, and on the 1st November 1995 it’s doors were re-opened to the public as a licensed bar and restaurant.
